Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of Aegami — the website at aegami.com and the Aegami mobile applications (collectively, the “Service”). By creating an account, signing in, or otherwise using the Service you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. The Service

Aegami is an indie tool for tracking the anime you watch and sharing an optional public profile of your collection. Features may change, expand, or be removed over time.

2. Your account

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country) to use Aegami.
You are responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials secure and for any activity that happens under your account.
One account per person; do not impersonate someone else.
If you sign in with Google, you authorize us to receive your basic profile from Google for authentication purposes.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

Use the Service to do anything illegal, infringing, or harmful to others.
Upload sexually explicit content involving minors, hateful or harassing content, or content that violates someone else’s intellectual property.
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service or to other users’ accounts.
Probe, scan, scrape, or test the vulnerability of the Service except via responsible disclosure to us.
Use the Service to send spam or to overload our infrastructure (including via automated requests beyond reasonable use).
Reverse engineer, resell, or sublicense the Service.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules, with or without notice.

4. Your content

You retain ownership of the content you add to Aegami (your bio, avatar, ratings, mini reviews, custom tags, rewatch history, etc.). By making any of it public via the Public Collection toggle, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, display, and serve that content as part of the Service. This license ends when you remove the content or delete your account, except for cached or backup copies that may persist for a short period.

Anime metadata such as titles, synopses, cover art, and air dates is sourced from third-party catalogs (for example MyAnimeList) and remains the property of its respective owners.

5. Account termination and data deletion

You can permanently delete your account at any time from the Profile → Danger zone screen in the app. This removes your account, watchlist, ratings, mini reviews, rewatch history, push tokens, and public profile. The action cannot be undone. We may also terminate or suspend your access to the Service if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms.

6. Service “as is” — disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy of anime metadata, uninterrupted availability, or that the Service will be free of bugs or errors. Aegami is an indie project with no service-level guarantee.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Aegami and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of goodwill, or loss of profits, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service. Where liability cannot be excluded by law, our total aggregate liability is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you have paid us for the Service in the past 12 months (which is normally zero, as Aegami is free) or (b) USD $10.

8. Third-party services

The Service may link to or integrate with third-party services such as Google Sign-In, Apple Push Notification service, Firebase Cloud Messaging, Resend, and MyAnimeList. We are not responsible for the content, policies, or practices of those services and your use of them is governed by their own terms and privacy policies.

9. Changes to the Service and to these Terms

We may modify or discontinue features of the Service at any time. We may also update these Terms from time to time; material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date at the top. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

10. User-generated content

Some features of the Service allow you to create and optionally share content publicly, such as Watch Plans (including their title, description, items, text entries, and notes). By making content public you are solely responsible for ensuring that content complies with these Terms and applicable law.

You own your content. You retain ownership of the content you submit. By making it public you grant Aegami a limited, non-exclusive licence to display that content to other users as part of the Service.
Content standards. You must not publish content that is abusive, harassing, hateful, obscene, fraudulent, spam, or otherwise unlawful. You must not include another person's private information without their consent.
Removal. We may remove or hide any public content that violates these Terms, without prior notice and at our sole discretion.
Consequences of abuse. Repeated violations may result in restrictions on your ability to publish public content, or suspension or deletion of your account.
Making content private again. You can return a public Watch Plan to private at any time from the plan detail screen. This removes it from public view immediately.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the operator’s jurisdiction (Czech Republic), without regard to conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service will be brought in the courts of that jurisdiction, except where applicable consumer protection law gives you the right to bring proceedings in your country of residence.
